“CG will never be able to fool me…….” Or so I thought.
Pound for pound this is simply one of the finest FULL-CG Animated pieces that has been made to date. The modeling and production so convincing that the creators were forced to release compositing breakdown clips to disprove the many that were questioning the ‘FULL-CG’ tag. If that weren’t enough, the creators were then forced to release a clip detailing the modeling process used to created some of the architecture.
In an age where anyone and everyone can gain access to the tools to create visual content, it takes a little more to impress those who know what they’re looking at. This is ‘truly’ impressive, in every context of the term ‘motion picture’.
Be warned, at first you will not believe.

Today is the day we celebrate as a country all that it means to be an Australian. I find that the true Australian spirit can be found in the hearts of our troops. From the many that remain here helping the communities of flood and fire ravaged towns, to those posted in far away places protecting those who would otherwise be at the mercy of aggression.
For whatever reason you have ended up where you are today, we appreciate you, stay safe.

Some more Sundance news, famed music video director Spike Jonze is soon to release a semi-animated short titled ‘I’m Here’. In a strange twist Spike is in collaboration with Absolut Vodka on this piece…..I’m not sure what to make of that? Anyways, it looks to be as unique, if not more so, as his music video work.

One of my favorite artists ‘Banksy’ is doing the Sundance Film Festival rounds with his new feature titled ‘EXIT THROUGH THE GIFT SHOP’. I just love this kid, his street art has fashioned a new artistic genre. To be honest I don’t know too much about the piece, but I’m sure he’ll lend the same innovation and perspective to film as he does to his stenciling.
